Ms. Dillon, better known as Aftershock, is a supervillain of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.[1] She is a power-hungry electric-powered woman who planned to absorb all the electricity from New York City's Lower East Side. As the first villain Lunella Lafayette and Devil Dinosaur faced together, Aftershock discovered and threatened Moon Girl's civilian life and continue her ambitions unopposed. Although she almost succeeded in ending the superhero herself, Aftershock met defeat by the combined efforts of Moon Girl, Devil, and the entire L.E.S. community and was reverted to electricity to re-power the neighborhood.

Appearance[]

Physical Appearance[]

Aftershock is a tall and slender woman with a noticeable curvaceous build. As a supervillain, her whole body is entirely made out of cyan-blue electricity, with pupil-less eyes and purple lips.

As a civilian, her normal appearance is that of a fair-skinned Caucasian woman with short blonde hair (dyed) styled in a bob cut with paler-colored highlights, black eyes, arched eyebrows, and wears pale purple lipstick for makeup.

Clothing[]

Her supervillain costume dons a black-purple color scheme, which consists of a cropped, mid-quarter-sleeved black leather jacket with purple accents and two purple buttons on each side, a high-collared black bodysuit with lighter-purple streaks worn underneath, a purple utility belt and knee-pads, and black knee-high boots with light purple cuffs, and purple soles and toes.

Her civilian attire sported the same black and purple color scheme as her supervillain clothing, which consists of a black sweater with dark purple accents, black rubber gloves, grayish-purple dress pants with paler trim around the waistline, and black knee-high boots.

Trivia[]

  • In the comics, Allison Dillon is the daughter of Electro, originating from the MC2 continuity. Having inherited her father's powers, the two were unable to touch each other safely. This, combined with the death of her mother, led Dillon to be taken to several foster homes. She eventually turned to a life of crime under the name Aftershock and fought Spider-Man's own daughter, Spider-Girl, until her father convinced to drop her criminal ways by promising to become a better father.
    • As a nod to their relationship in the comics, Aftershock's civilian alter-ego goes by the name "Ms. Dillon". Her design also features elements of both The Spectacular Spider-Man's version and Jamie Foxx's live-action portrayal of Electro.
  • Aftershock shares many similarities with Molecule Man.
    • Both villains have actual superpowers.
    • Both villains are associated with black.
    • Both villains were able to overpower Devil Dinosaur.
    • Both villains were able to best Moon Girl in battle, intimidated her, and pushed her to her lowest points.
    • The main differences are that while Aftershock is an enhanced human, Molecule is an alien and Molecule Man turns good and survives while Aftershock remains evil and seemingly dies.
