"Suit Up!" is the second episode of the second season of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, and the eighteenth episode overall.
It premiered on February 2, 2024 on Disney Channel.[2]
Synopsis[]
When Lunella tries to juice up her new super suit, she goes overboard and accidentally “juices up” a dangerous desert scorpion.
Plot[]
Lunella attempts to resume a normal life with her family, but begins to suffer from PTSD, resulting in her having panic attacks. Mimi recognizes this and wanting to do everything she can to help, offers to take her away for a little while to see some friends who might be able to help her with possibly getting more protection. Lunella and Mimi disguise the trip as a science camp getaway while Casey informs Lunella that she will be renovating her lab. Lunella and Mimi take a train while Devil is forced to ride a mini car with them all the way into the desert. As they get out there, they are greeted by Mimi's two close friends Merle and Matsuye.
Mimi reveals that she used to work alongside her two friends before she got a job at the Enclave, something Merle and Matsuye warned her about. They excitedly greet Lunella and Devil, the latter of whom Matsuye takes a very strong interest in due to her being anti-social with people in general, and offer to help Lunella upgrade her suit. Lunella gets additions to her suit such as better breathing fabric, an airbag in her butt, and zero gravity roller blades. However, every time she gets a new upgrade, she continues to have panic attacks. Mimi tells Lunella that birds do not always rely on the branch they sit on as they can fly away. Lunella, still frightened, adds more things to her suit.
While using the lab, Lunella accidentally uses an enlargement ray on a desert scorpion that begins to cause trouble. As it makes its way to town, the gang go out with Lunella wearing a large clunky suit. Realizing what Mimi was trying to tell her, Lunella sheds the suit and uses her own abilities to defeat the scorpion. Merle and Matsuye do create a suit that is more in line with what works with Lunella. She offers to take the two back to New York with them, but realizes that this means that Mimi and herself would need to tell their family about what happened. Mimi explains that when they are both ready, they will tell everyone about their double lives.
